Hi, it’s me, Rocky! I’m excited to share that I am ready for my FUR-ever home!
I'm a 2-year-old male weighing in at 22 lbs. I ended up in foster care after my previous owners didn’t have time to care for me.
I’ve been living my best life in foster care in Orange County, California with my foster parents and furry Frenchie foster brother.
Foster mom makes me delicious meals. She adds probiotics, fish oil, and supplement to my meals daily for hips and joints. My energy is about a 7 on a scale of 1-10 and my affection is about 9 with people I know and trust. I don’t warm up too quickly to strangers and may bark when meeting new people. I”m mostly comfortable with women at first, it takes me a little longer to warm up to men.
Foster mom says, Rocky is very sweet at home, he will follow you around and let you carry him however you like. I love carrying him like a baby, and he is funny sometimes when you carry him, he will be like a mochi, so soft, and lovely! He does listen to you at home, especially while you have treats. He is very playful, so if you like to play with dogs, Rocky is a good buddy!”
Rocky loves to play with toys, he is very smart, and totally trainable! He love to sleep on your bed, he will sleep next to you when you put him on your bed with you, and he also sleeps in his crate.
Rocky hasn’t had exposure to other dog breeds,
so he doesn’t understand how to react towards other breeds. He came from a home with other frenchies and has a frenchie foster brother currently. On walks outdoors he can get excited and start barking when seeing other breeds, so he will require some patience and training if exposed to other dogs. Slow transitions are always important when bringing a new pup home.
Rocky is a sweet lovable boy but it does take him a little while to warm up to new people. Once he feels safe with you he will follow you everywhere. He has so much love to give if given the opportunity.
Rocky would do best with a family that has time to dedicate to his fun filled energy and who can also continue to work with him on social training outside of the home. He will also need to keep up with routine allergy vaccine.
