Thor is a 1.5 year old male who was surrendered to our rescue a week ago after a true hero saved him from a coyote attack. He was hospitalized for treatment and observation for multiple wounds and lacerations throughout his body. He was found to have old and new wounds and he is now on several medications for pain and trauma.
He has been resting and adjusting well in his foster home. His wounds are healing and he is starting to build his appetite back. He is potty trained and crate trained and knows some commands. He is a sweetheart and is very affectionate. He prefers to be right with humans. He will lay next to you or sit next to you. He is the perfect companion. He is comfortable around small dogs, but does get anxious when spotting large dogs on walks.
Outdoors can still be a scary place for him. He startles easily and is on guard during walks. He prefers to be outside with his leash on, right next to you. When feeling overwhelmed he will start to shake and wants back inside. We are helping Thor relearn safety and love.
Thor has been vaccinated and is scheduled for his neuter soon. He is not ready for adoption just yet but please stay tuned on his progress.
