Meet Harvey- in Los Angeles

 

Harvey is a 4-month-old deaf puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This adorable little guy weighs just 15 pounds and is looking for a loving forever home.

 

Harvey came to rescue as an owner surrender when there were concerns about his hearing. After a veterinary evaluation, it was confirmed that Harvey is deaf in both ears. While he experiences the world a little differently, he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! Harvey is a healthy, happy puppy who is fully vaccinated and ready to find his perfect family.

 

Like any young pup, Harvey is full of energy, curiosity, and mischief. He loves toys, chew bones, treats, and pretty much anything he can get into his mouth while he's teething. Because he is highly food motivated, he is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement.

 

Harvey is already crate trained, potty trained, sits for treats, and walks nicely on a leash. He enjoys children and gets along well with other dogs. In fact, he would love a home with another confident dog who can help guide him and show him the ropes. Harvey can be a little unsure about stairs, but he gains confidence by following other dogs or with a few tasty treats as encouragement.

 

This sweet boy has classic puppy energy—expect zoomies, playtime, and lots of entertaining antics. He’s affectionate and enjoys being around his people, though he’s often more interested in playing than cuddling. Harvey has shown no signs of aggression and is simply a happy, teething puppy who needs appropriate outlets for chewing. One of Harvey’s funniest quirks? He isn’t quite sure what to think about mirrors and occasionally tries to play with—or bark at—the “other dog” staring back at him!

 

Because he is still too young to be neutered, Harvey will be adopted with a medical waiver requiring his adopter to have him neutered when he reaches approximately 6 months of age.
