Meet Peanut – The Pocket-Sized Lovebug with a Heart of Gold! 🥜🐾
Say hello to Peanut, a 4-year-old French Bulldog with the soul of a cuddle bug and the body of well, a little peanut! At just 16 lbs., she's small, sweet, and a little bit nutty in the best way, Peanut is ready to be your favorite little snack of love.
Peanut’s story began in a home where she wasn’t treated with the care she deserved, and she later found herself in a Los Angeles shelter. Luckily, her life took a turn for the better when her foster mom scooped her up and brought her to sunny San Diego—and Peanut has been soaking up the love ever since.
Peanut is the ultimate lap dog. She’s happiest when she’s curled up next to her human, quietly dozing, snuggling, or just being your little shadow. She doesn’t demand attention—she simply melts into it. She’s nonchalant, unbothered, and completely devoted. Her ideal day? Snoozing in, taking a short potty break, binge-watching your favorite shows, and enjoying the occasional snack - peanut butter-flavored of course!
Despite her rocky start, Peanut is incredibly well-behaved. She’s 100% potty trained, both outdoors and on pee pads. She’s not crate trained—but the good news is, she really doesn’t need to be. Her calm and chill demeanor means she can be trusted to roam the house without causing any trouble. She’s not a chewer, doesn’t bark unnecessarily, and doesn’t get into things she shouldn’t. She’s basically the dream roommate—just cuter and snorier.
Peanut doesn’t need much—just your presence. She’s not high energy and tires easily, so a few short strolls a day and some cuddle time will keep her totally content. She doesn't love being alone for long stretches and thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time. She currently lives with four college-age foster moms who take turns doting on her—so she’s used to being adored pretty much 24/7.
She’s indifferent to most things that aren't her person—dogs, cats, babies… even shoes on the floor. She’s just here for a good snuggle. Other animals don’t bother or excite her. She may give them a casual sniff and then move along with her day. Peanut is a true nonchalant nut—unfazed, sweet, and affectionate.
A few fun facts about this little snack:
She gets adorably concerned when humans swim and might try to “rescue” you. Lifeguard Peanut, reporting for duty!
She snores like a tiny chainsaw, which is honestly part of her charm.
She doesn’t jump—when she’s excited, she just wiggles like a happy little peanut worm.
Her “babies” are her plush toys, which she gently carries around the house like treasures.
Peanut had a minor case of kennel cough (now fully treated with antibiotics) and has been spayed. She’s healthy and ready for her forever home.
