Max is a 1-year-old male French Bulldog in Oceanside, CA, weighing a perfect 26 pounds of compact cuteness.

 

Max’s journey hasn’t been easy—he was rescued from a shelter after being found as a stray with a painful ear mass. Thanks to loving foster care, he’s now thriving! Max has had the mass removed, is fully vaccinated, neutered, and has received a Cytopoint injection to help manage his allergies. He eats kibble and takes daily supplements to keep his coat smooth and shiny, plus enjoys bi-weekly baths to help with itchiness.

 

Because his ears went untreated for a long time, Max doesn’t hear perfectly and has some tissue buildup from chronic allergies. His ears will need routine monitoring and periodic cleaning—but he handles it like a champ. Max is a sweet, mellow guy with an affectionate heart. His energy level is about a 5/10, but his love level is a solid 10/10. He adores snuggles, attention, Kong toys, fetch, and short walks. He’s still figuring out stairs and may need patience and encouragement while he learns.

 

He enjoys playing with his foster dog sibling and does great with children. Max loves other dogs, but his cat compatibility is unknown. He does resource guard food and treats, so he should be fed separately from other pets. Max is both house trained and crate trained and would do well in most homes as long as he gets regular walks and potty breaks. His foster dad says the cutest thing about Max is how he rests his chin on things when he relaxes—your lap, the couch, or even a nightstand.

 

A day in Max’s life:

Max wakes up with his humans, heads outside for a potty break, then enjoys breakfast. Afterward, he loves lounging in the sun, occasionally bursting into zoomies, playing with his Kong, or romping with his foster fur brother. During the day, he relaxes while his humans work, followed by a short evening pack walk, dinner, and cozy bedtime snuggles.
