Meet Rebel! – Los Angeles, CA

Rebel is a gorgeous 1.5-year-old French Bulldog weighing 28 pounds, and she's ready to find the forever family she deserves. This sweet, playful girl has been through a lot already. She was rescued from a shelter with a very painful ear condition and, while in foster care, has received everything she needed to start her new life; including her spay, vaccines, ear surgery, and the removal of a facial mass. Today, she's fully recovered and no longer needs any medication or treatment.

Rebel is the definition of a love bug! She adores cuddling with her foster mom, playing with her foster dog sibling, and carrying toys (or the occasional slipper!) around the house. Her energy level is about an 8/10, making her a fun companion for playtime and adventures, while her affection level is a perfect 10/10. If you're looking for a dog who wants to be by your side, Rebel is your girl.

She eats kibble twice a day and is continuing to make great progress with her potty training. Rebel is crate trained, although she doesn't enjoy being left in her crate for long periods. She's not destructive, but like many young Frenchies, she has a playful puppy streak and enjoys turning everyday household items into toys.

Rebel gets along well with other dogs and would likely do fine with dog-savvy cats. She absolutely loves people and would do best with older children who can match her enthusiastic, active personality. While she isn't aggressive, she should be fed separately from other pets after showing resource guarding over a bag of dog food on one occasion.

Her ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the day or works from home, as she thrives on companionship. She would love another young, playful dog to romp around with, but she'd also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a home where she'll receive plenty of love and affection.

Her foster mom says it best: "She's a really sweet girl who just loves love." Whether she's snuggling with her favorite person or making new dog friends, Rebel's happiest when she's surrounded by those she loves.
