Meet Mochi in Riverside, CA

 

Mochi is a 2 year old, 22-pound female French Bulldog with a big personality, tons of energy, and a very sweet side. 

 

Mochi was rescued after she and her sister were abandoned in an apartment, where they were left hot, hungry, thirsty, and without the care they needed. We stepped in and got Mochi the medical attention she deserved. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and currently recovering from ear surgery to treat painful ear polyps. She is finishing her medication and she is ready to find her forever home. 

 

Mochi is potty trained and crate trained, although she’ll be the first to tell you that she doesn’t particularly enjoy crate time when she’d rather be out having fun! She absolutely loves her people and is very friendly and social. 

 

And when we say Mochi loves to play, we mean it! Her favorite activity is anything involving a ball. Fetch? Yes, please. Chasing a ball? Absolutely. Having a whole collection of balls to choose from? Even better\! Her foster dad describes her as a “Red Bull monster with a side of sweetness,” and honestly, it fits her perfectly.

 

Mochi is a confident girl who likes to be in charge. She does best with passive, easygoing dogs who are comfortable letting her take the lead. She is not a fan of larger dogs, but she plays well with dogs closer to her size, including other Frenchies.

 

Because Mochi is young, energetic, and still learning, she can be mischievous at times and may get into things when she’s excited or curious. We don’t know much about her past, so some of her excitement around toys and play may be because she is experiencing things she never had the opportunity to enjoy before. She will need a family who is willing to provide structure, supervision, patience, and continued training while she learns how to be the best girl she can be.

 

Mochi would love a home where she can run, play, and spend lots of time with her people. A fenced yard would be wonderful, and if there happens to be a pool for supervised playtime, Mochi certainly wouldn’t complain! Most importantly, she wants a family who will keep her active, give her plenty of enrichment, and make her part of the family.

 

Mochi has been through more than any dog should, but she hasn’t let it take away her playful spirit. She is ready for a family who will love her, guide her, and show her just how good life can be.
