Meet Jaxon (aka "Dobby") - Los Angeles, CA

 

Jaxon is a 5-year-old French Bulldog weighing 26 pounds, and he's ready to find the loving forever home he deserves.

This sweet boy was rescued from a shelter after being found as a stray. When he arrived, he was battling a severe upper respiratory infection and was in significant pain from multiple broken teeth with exposed nerves that required urgent surgery. We believe he may have been abused in the past. He cowards down when sudden movements happen or if you go to pet him too fast, it’s like he thinks he’s going to get hit. In time he has learned to trust.

 

 

While in foster care, Jaxon has received the medical care he needed, including treatment for his respiratory infection, dental extractions, and neutering.

 

 

During his veterinary exam, a mild heart murmur was discovered. It currently requires no medication, but to keep him comfortable and safe, he enjoys a relaxed lifestyle with short walks and low-impact activity.

Today, Jaxon has made a full recovery and is living his best life as a happy, easygoing companion.

His foster mom describes him as the ultimate cuddle bug and couch potato. Jaxon is incredibly affectionate (a perfect 10/10!) and happiest when curled up beside you—or even better, on your lap. He's quiet, rarely barks, and is friendly and curious around both people and other dogs.

 

Despite his rough start, Jaxon is confident and easygoing. Loud noises like fireworks, vacuums, and musical instruments don't bother him. He's curious about everything happening around him and loves being involved in daily life.

His energy level is about a 3 out of 10, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back best friend. One of his cutest habits is trotting over to greet you and then promptly falling asleep next to you. He's also apparently a huge fan of Breaking Bad and considers himself a professional staring contest champion.

 

Jaxon is crate trained, potty trained, and would enjoy having another friendly dog in the home. His ideal family would have people around often, as he prefers companionship and isn't a fan of being left alone for long periods. A home with a yard would be a bonus since short potty breaks are much more his style than long walks.
